Who We Are:
The Wicked organization competes in PONY, ASA, NSA, as well as college exposure tournaments. The Wicked, in 2015, is comprised of solely an 18u showcase team. While we play to win, our primary focus is on personal and athletic growth of our players, and also demonstrating the importance of working as a team and playing with a positive attitude. As a member of the Wicked program, the coaching staff will hold the young ladies of the program to a higher standard.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. The Wicked program takes great pride in, not only their team, but also the organization as a whole. Wicked players challenge every endeavor with great energy, enthusiasm, and conviction. We make our softball program one of fine art, not common task.
Based out of Newtown, CT, the Wicked will play a 50-60 game schedule. The 18u team will travel as far as Colorado and Florida in search of being recruited by the college of their choosing. The Wicked team trains year round in our own 5,200 square foot indoor facility.
Each one of our coaches has competed at a high level program. Our players are provided with assistance and insight from the highest level of respected role models in softball today. The skills acquired by playing for this organization help our players establish and develop the necessary skill sets, attitudes, and training to best prepare them for the collegiate level.
We run our teams with very different objectives. See each age group below for details.
2015 Plans: The Wicked will consist of two teams
‐18U: College Showcase Team
18U: College Recruiting; these high school aged ladies play in college showcase tournaments where our players will be seen by different colleges from all over the country and also, from all different levels (DI, DII, DIII, JuCo, etc.). Again, we try to seek out the best fit for our players. During this process we find out the information necessary to have our players decide on the most appropriate environment for themselves. We will always put our players in a situation in which we know they can succeed, develop, and mature.
